Carinido

A babysitter from your neighbourhood

On Carinido you’ll find babysitters who live around the corner from you, from students to experienced babysitters. You can see what they charge, what we’ve checked and what other parents think of them. You book and pay online.

When parents book a babysitter

  • An evening out, without having to watch the clock.
  • After school: pick-up, a snack and help with homework.
  • The afternoons when school finishes early or childcare is closed.
  • School holidays and teacher training days, when school is closed and you have to work.

What does it cost?

Every babysitter sets their own hourly rate. On top of the rate you pay a 10% service fee, or nothing with a pass.

  • Babysitting: €8 to €15 an hour

These are guide prices. Every sitter sets their own rate.

Our payment partner has verified the sitter’s identity using a valid ID document.

We’ve seen the official certificate ourselves. A babysitter can’t turn this badge on themselves.

How it works

  1. Search by postcode

You’ll see who’s available within a few kilometres, with their rate, badges and reviews.

  2. Send a booking request

Choose a day and time and say what you need. The sitter says yes or no.

  3. Pay once they say yes

You pay securely through Carinido. After that, the booking is confirmed.

Good to know

If your babysitter comes to your home on no more than three days a week, the Dutch ‘Regeling dienstverlening aan huis’ applies: you don’t have to withhold payroll tax or pay contributions. Childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) is only for registered childcare, not for a babysitter through Carinido.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know I can trust a babysitter?

Every profile shows what we’ve checked: the babysitter’s identity, their phone number and, if they’ve uploaded one, their criminal record certificate. Reviews only come from parents who have booked through Carinido. And always arrange to meet first, so you can get to know each other.

How much does a babysitter cost?

Each babysitter sets their own babysitting rate, which you’ll find on their profile. On top of that you pay a 10% service fee. If you book often, a pass is cheaper: with a pass you pay no service fee.

When do I pay?

Only after the babysitter has accepted your request. We hold the amount until after the booking. If you cancel 24 hours or more before the start, you get everything back.

Can I find a regular babysitter or after-school nanny?

Yes. Send a message first, get to know each other and then book the same babysitter as often as you like. If you book often, there’s the pass.
